Dear friends,

Welcome to the latest edition of our Homefixers newsletter! With so much going on, this is our way of keeping the members of the Homefixers family (yes, you!) up to date, and in the loop. In this month’s edition we’ll be sharing how our workload is taking off, some fantastic feedback from a very happy customer, and some Christmas gift ideas for those difficult-to-shop-for people in your life :)

Hi-ho, hi-ho, it’s off to work we go…

We’re proud to announce that all of our gearing-up (new staff, bigger premises, more workshop facilities) and marketing efforts have been paying off in a big way - as we’ve got work coming out of our ears! We’ve noticed a definite trend of customers mentioning that they’ve been let down badly by other service providers, and are desperate to get their jobs done before the end of the year. Have you been let down by anyone recently? If you have, feel free to give us a call on 0860 FIXERS (0860 349377), and we’ll be more than happy to come and quote you for what you need done. While we’re booked up almost solidly through November, and for good chunks of December as well (yes, we’re that busy!), we’ll always do our utmost to accommodate you. Otherwise, you could be like a number of our clients who are already looking ahead to starting 2012 with a bang, and are booking us for home and office makeovers in early January. There’s nothing like a spruce-up to get you off on the right foot for the new year!

Ho, ho, Homefixers

We all have those people in our lives that are just impossible to buy for… Maybe they already have everything, or maybe you’re just stumped on what to get them this year. Try using these ideas as a starting point:

• Think of recent conversations.  What have you been chatting to this person about recently? Have they started a new job (or their own business)? Taken up a new hobby? Planning a trip or experience? Think of what you could give them to make it that much more memorable or special.
• Do something for them instead. Do you have a special skill that they’re always asking to use, but you never have the time? Maybe you could set aside a day or weekend to help them with some DIY, or help them sort through and clear out some junk they’ve been dying to get rid of. Or, if they’re parents, offer your services as a babysitter or nanny for a day or evening – people will always remember a gesture that allows them to spend some quality time with their partner.
• On-going gifts. Why not get them a subscription to something they love – it beats opening up a present as a one-off! It could be their local gym, favourite magazine, or a wine club – think of something that they’d use over and over again, and get pleasure out of it every time.
• Gift vouchers. When all else fails, follow the path of least resistance :) Allowing them to pick their own gifts ensures that they’re guaranteed to like what they get, so you can never go wrong this way. Speak to us about gift vouchers for handyman work – everyone has something in their home or office that they want fixed!
